Mitre House Publishing’s main activities are publishing magazines and working in partnership with other companies in related fields.  One of these fields is e-learning.

Mitre House has three publications particularly related to IT: Commercial Risk (where there is a heavy focus on IT security), Computing For Insurance and Charities Management (where IT has a relevance across a number of areas, apart from basic administration).

E-LEARNING
Mitre House has entered into a partnership with a leading e-learning company with a list of blue-chip clients to take e-learning as a training mechanism into a number of areas, including information security.

E-learning can be a highly effective and cost-efficient way of training employees and customers across enterprises, locations and continents.  Mitre House’s e-learning partner has special methodology which takes the expert knowledge of clients and puts it into an e-learning format.

This e-learning methodology is Internet based, delivered by email in short bites, easy to understand and use, and is interactive.  It is used in government, the private sector and the voluntary sector.  It is ideal for training or educating employees or customers about information security.

It can be used as an alternative or complement to face to face training, and has been used in blended training programmes.  Above all, the way it is offered makes it very economic.
