Data Integrity Attacks –The Silent Killer
Speaker(s)
Seminar Details Data integrity has long been a concern for Information Security professionals, particularly when faced with compliance audits; however data integrity attacks are now a major concern for organisations, especially as they can be so difficult to detect and to manage. When faced with a data integrity attack, the implications for an organisation are wide, and if made public could affect their insurance risk, credit rating and of course, reputation. For some vertical markets it is potentially catastrophic when you consider faulty drug products for example, or on an individual level the loss of personal health records or altered credit ratings. This discussion will therefore consider: • How do you know if your data has been compromised? • What techniques should you employ to improve the integrity of your data? • How can you manage and assess the accuracy of your data – how do you measure change? • Where do external threats to data integrity come from and what are they? • Insider data integrity threats – what are they and how can you manage them? • Roadmap to prevent data integrity attacks on your organisation |
