    Seminar Details

In December, the Sourcefire Vulnerability Research Team (VRT), the company’s elite group of leading edge network security experts, will be announcing its security predictions for 2010. The VRT is chartered with delivering threat identification and analysis to Sourcefire’s customers and Snort users, and in 2009 has also provided the industry with unique insights on some of the leading attacks and threats. Not only did it deliver zero-day protection from Conficker, but it also provided a patch to a leading Adobe vulnerability weeks before the vendor was able to react.

During this session Matt Watchinski will discuss the state of security in 2010 and what his team is preparing to combat in the next 12 months.

Specifically, Sourcefire expects to see serious issues in areas including:
    · Cloud/SaaS compromises
    · Sophisticated mobile device attacks
    · Cloud security solutions that claim to add protection but actually leave organizations vulnerable.
