User awareness is an essential to Chelmsford Borough Council IT Assurance Programme, with 1,200 remote and office employees, this is no easy task. Like other Local Authorities, they are working towards Code of Connection accreditation and best practice IT Governance in the form of ISO27001. They were aware that traditional means of communication, such as email and corporate intranet, would fail to deliver the levels of awareness required to fulfil their regulatory obligations. The Information Governance team at Chelmsford Borough Council realised that in order to achieve best practice requirements, they required a strategy based on automation that would deliver continuous and repeatable user awareness and accountability right across the organisation.
Join Martin Jimmick, ICT Technical Services Manager from Chelmsford Borough Council and Robert O’Brien, Baronscourt Technology CEO, for an informative discussion on how Chelmsford Borough Council has begun its journey along the information governance maturity model and how they have identified user awareness as the number one challenge to the integrity of their data and their company reputation.
