New leader in Privileged User Management (PUM) solutions enters the UK market
London – 27 January 2012 : WALLIX, (www.wallix.com) best known as the leading vendor of appliance based Privileged User Management (PUM) systems is joining the list of international software vendors to focus on the UK market as a major step in their international business development plans.
Wallix has a unique approach to IT security with a particular emphasis on mitigating the threats from internal security risks and the externalisation of information systems. Since its creation, Wallix has been growing rapidly and gaining market share, supported by partners and certified value added resellers (VARs) across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia and North America.
Wallix provides two complimentary security solutions: The Wallix AdminBastion (WAB) and the Wallix Logbox (WLB).
The WAB is a platform to deliver priviledged user access, compliance and traceability solutions with integrated session recording.
The WLB collects and stores log files generated by security devices, servers, application servers and network devices and can easily integrate with SIM/SEM solutions for further analysis. Both technologies are agentless which makes the solutions quick and easy to deploy. The WAB and WLB are both available as physical and/or virtual appliances.
Through the WAB and WLB, WALLIX aims to restore trust in a large Enterprise’s IT infrastructure by providing an audit, trust and traceability solution that allows IT teams to know precisely who has done what, when, where and most importantly how.
By working closely with Chief Technical Officers and Chief Security Officers Wallix is helping them to control internal IT and to implement risk management policies that meet tough compliance standards whilst mitigating threats linked to the externalisation of IT.

As part of our commitment to growing the UK market WALLIX recently appointed Nick Lewis to spearhead their expansion plans.
Nick brings more than 25 years' experience of corporate sales and channel-management leadership to Wallix. He previously held senior positions with Access Technology, Visual Numerics, Corvu, SAS and Webroot Software, where he was a key member of the team that launched their EMEA business.
More recently, Nick has enjoyed tremendous success with Ampreso, where he worked closely with a number of high- profile organisations, including Baynote and Laplink, helping them to establish their businesses in the UK and across the Nordic region.
Nick Lewis is responsible for developing sales and the Wallix brand in the UK, Ireland and Nordic Countries.
