 Mr D Lacey

Managing the Human Factor in Information Security
Speaker:  Mr David Lacey
Time:  11:00 - 11:45
Computers don’t commit crimes - people do. They also create, prevent, detect and respond to security breaches. Policies and technology are not enough to manage risks. Today’s security managers need to apply the soft, subtle skills needed to deter criminal activity and to incentivize staff in good security practice. Contemporary practitioners can now learn more from a psychologist than a technologist. Building on his new book “Managing the Human Factor in Information Security” David Lacey will explain the nature of people and networks, and how to go about transforming organization culture.
